[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide document translation and sign language interpreter services.
- The provision of language, interpreter and sign language services
- The highest standard of skilled translation, interpretation and sign language services are available to the Irish Prison Service
- Translation of documents across a wide range of subject matter including but not limited to education, psychology, library, healthcare, pre-release, resettlement, corporate services, operations, hr and any other services.
- Translation services for the new prison tv information channel which allows information and videos to be displayed on in-cell TVs, for example text on screen.
- Contractor must propose a secure method for transferring of documents to be translated.
- Translation will be required but is not limited to the following languages
- Arabic to English and English to Arabic
- Portuguese to English and English to Portuguese
- Romanian to English and English to Romanian
- Lithuanian to English and English to Lithuanian
- Latvian to English and English to Latvian
- Polish to English and English to Polish
- Bulgarian to English and English to Bulgarian
- Vietnamese to English and English to Vietnamese
- Cantonese to English and English to Cantonese
- Chinese to English and English to Chinese
- French to English and English to French
- Spanish to English and English to Spanish
- Russian to English and English to Russian
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than April 10, 2023.
(3) The contract period will be for three years.
