[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide legal services for special education, real estate and transactional matters, real estate tax objections, collective bargaining negotiations, union grievances and allegations of unfair labor practice, first amendment issues, student discipline, employee discipline, teacher dismissals, and employee performance and terminations to the government authority located in Elgin, IL.
- Assist the Chief Legal Officer and the District’s in-house legal team with litigation, including litigation involving claims of employment discrimination as well as personal injury claims
- Assist the Chief Legal Officer and the District’s in-house legal team with general day-to-day matters including, but not limited to student residency and registration, student code of conduct, employee discipline, human resource inquiries, First Amendment matters, trespass, truancy, visitor protocol, criminal acts on school property
- Assist the Chief Legal Officer and the District’s in-house legal team with matters related to student discipline, including due process matters
- Assist the Chief Legal Officer and the District’s in-house legal team with federal and State employment discrimination matters, including cases related to personal injury.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than January 27, 2023.
