[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide interpretation and translation service.
- Verbal interpretation or written translation services in multiple languages relevant to the needs of city residents and stakeholders to include American Sign Language (ASL) translation and interpretation services.
- Provide interpretation equipment (such as transmitters, headphones, etc.) when requested for meetings and large gatherings, as needed and at no charge to the city.
- When services are scheduled for pre-planned meetings and events, the agency will be notified of the type of interpreting assignment being requested in advance. Within twenty-four hours of the service request, the agency shall send confirmation of services to be provided in a quote with all associated costs.
- Emergency services may be needed in legal, law enforcement, medical, mental health or disaster situations. The agency must be able to provide emergency interpreting services. Emergency services are required to be available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
- Video remote interpreting is an interactive video technology that utilizes an interpreter at an off-site location to interpret and facilitate communication between individuals or groups.
- VRI allows remote communication within the greater county area including city public counters, city offices and meetings or at meetings, through an off-site interpreter via a videophone, computer with a video camera or mobile devices using web browsers or applications.
(2) A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on January 24, 2023.
(3) All question must be submitted no later than January 23, 2023.
