[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide canine drug and weapon protection service to the government authority located in Spartanburg, SC.
- All such services shall be performed in accordance all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- The district will provide a single point of contact from the district and from each school. the contractor must be accompanied by a representative at all times while inspections are being conducted on district property.
- Drug and weapons inspections will be made at random throughout each contract year, or additionally as requested by the district. any additional visits requested by the district other than those listed below shall be billed at the per visit costs.
- All visits must include the following searches: lockers, parking lots and classrooms. inspections must be made when the areas under inspection are not occupied by students. inspections may not interfere with the instructional program.
- Costs must be all inclusive, including all travel and other expenses.
- All positive detections will be documented in writing and will be videotaped by the contractor at the request of the district. upon detection of any weapons or any reportable quantity of a controlled substance, it is the responsibility of the district or school contact or representative to report such detection to the proper authorities as required by law.
- Contractor or principal or his/her designee can request the school be placed on lock down in order to limit the possibility of student contact along with the destruction of contraband.
- Canines used in the inspections must have been trained by a specialized government trainer and certified by organizations recognized by law enforcement agencies for this purpose. canines shall be comfortable in the presence of district or school representative, students, staff without being distracted from their detection process.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than July 28, 2022.
(3) The contract period will be for one year.
