[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide microscopes to the government authority located in Wilsonville, OR.
1. Inverted Metallography Microscope
• Machine should be a microscope capable of inspecting materials for example, non-metallic inclusions and grain sizes.
• Machine should have motorized z-focus.
• Machine should have an automatic Component Recognition that will recognize the settings for objectives and filter set.
• Machine should be capable of the following contrasting techniques:
i. Brightfield
ii. Darkfield
iii. circular differential interference contrast (C-DIC)
iv. Polarization Contrast
v. Polarization with Lambda Plate
• Machine must be capable of porosity and inclusion detection and measurement.
• Machine must have a 6-position reflector turret motor ACR for P&C modules reflector
• modules exchangeable without removal of reflector turret.
• Machine must have a Reflected-light illuminator.
• Machine must have a 360-degree rotatable analyzer slider.
• Machine must come equipped with a camera closely capable of a creating an image 2752 (H) x 2208 (V) at 6 Mega Pixels with a Pixel size of 4.54 μm x 4.54 μm.
• Machine must have a minimum 130mm x 85mm scanning stage.
• Bid must include any hardware or computing devices beyond a general computing desktop or laptop necessary for operation.
• Bid must include all software necessary for operation.
2. Upright Metallography Microscope
• Machine should be a microscope capable of analyze metallic structures, composites, ceramics, polymers, and liquid crystals
• Machine should be capable of the following contrasting techniques:
i. Brightfield
ii. Darkfield
iii. circular differential interference contrast (C-DIC)
iv. Polarization Contrast
• Machine must have a fully motorized in X, Y, and Z for Z-stacking and Tiling/stitch, positioning.
• Machine must have Extended Depth of Focus and Autofocus.
• Machine must come equipped with a camera closely capable of a creating an image 2752 (H) x 2208 (V) at 6 Mega Pixels with a Pixel size of 4.54 μm x 4.54 μm.
• Bid must include any hardware or computing devices beyond a general computing desktop or laptop necessary for operation.
• Bid must include all software necessary for operation.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than February 25, 2022.
(3) A notice of interest will be due on March 4, 2022.
