- Provide robust financial planning and analysis solution for the city and departments that allows for input or reporting at the fund, cost center, and program level, with consolidation capabilities up to city level.
- During the budget process, finance staff noted several traditional budget software capabilities were lacking in workday.
- The city desires to support commonality in software where possible.
- Workday recently acquired adaptive insights, which has been integrated into workday and marketed as adaptive planning.
- Provide the modeling of the statement of net position, statement of change in net position, statement of activities, balance sheet, and statement of revenues, expenditures, and changes in fund balance, cash flow statements, and fund balance for the respective governmental, proprietary, and fiduciary funds, and supplemental or combining funds of each.
- Control over whether budgets are updated statically or dynamically.
- Calculation of seasonality of budget data.
- Multiple scenarios of budget and version control.
- User-defined and created dashboards, reports, and graphs.
- Expanded documentation and reporting of budget assumptions.
- Integration of non-financial metrics and other key performance indicators for data analysis.
- Modeling and reporting of enhanced capital improvement program requirements, with unlimited projects and multi-year program activity.
