We are based in Massachusetts, USA and we are requesting proposals from experienced service providers (From USA Only), for Medical Coding and Billing Services. These services require on-site certified medical coders, auditing and billing compliance staff. All staff should be experienced in Long Term Acute Care Hospitals to code and implement processes to ensure accurate and compliant billing, and coding that is in compliance with CMS regulations and that of other third party payers. The contract will be awarded for up to (5) five years with two (1) one-year renewal options. Our Estimated budget for this work is 3686578 USD.

[C] Scope of Service:
(1) All staff should be present on-site to provide services.
(2) All equipment and supplies necessary for the provision of this service will be provided by Service Provider. Telephones and desktop computers will be provided by us.
(3) Medical Coding: Requires on-site certified medical coders and reviewers, with experience in Long Term Acute Care Hospitals to code and implement processes to ensure accurate and compliant billing and coding. It is recommended that medical coders have nationally recognized and certified coding credentials in CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS and DSM-IV coding such as Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS-P) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
(4) Billing Compliance Services: Requires on-site auditing and billing compliance staff who are experienced in Long Term Acute Care Hospitals to train and educate staff and implement processes to ensure coding and billing is in compliance with CMS regulations and that of other third party payers. This includes department auditing and reporting, clinician education and training, and other areas of billing compliance.
